Sound Assistant and IT Network Administrator
An rare and unusual opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to combine experience of computer hardware/networks etc with an introduction into the film and television sound industry.
Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design requires a Network Administrator to look after their computer systems, servers, network and IT infrastructure and this role is to be combined with a Sound Assistant role to help with the smooth running of the foley sound studio for Clarity Post Production Sound.
Both companies are located in the same building in North Hertfordshire and the job would be split half and half between the two companies and include some visits to the Jewellery shop in Cambridge.
The ideal candidate needs to:
- demonstrate a good working knowledge of and experience with a network setup for a small business
- be good at technical problem solving with an all round knowledge of hardware
- be enthusiastic about keeping up with the latest technology.
- demonstrate a genuine interest in film and TV sound
- be willing to work hard and prepared to be flexible in their role to help with the smooth running of the foley studio.
- be interested in learning about sound editing and foley.
